Traditional breakfast

(included in the room price)

Farmer’s rusk, spelt crackers, butter, 2 kinds of cheese, 2 kinds of cold meat, 3 different home-made jams, peanut butter, sprinkles, yoghurt, home-made granola, fresh fruit, honey from local beekeeper, tomatoes and cucumber. And of course, a delicious boiled free-range egg from local care-farm is not to be missed.

Home-baked bread, choice of:    

Dubbel Drents Donker is a dark multigrain bread flour. Dubbel Drents means that the grains have been grown in Drenthe and milled traditionally at a local mill.

or:

Pumpkin bread flour is a mix of wheat and rye flour, pumpkin seeds, oat flakes, sunflower seeds and linseed, among other ingredients. We then bake a delicious light multigrain bread from this.

Naturally, we serve it with fresh orange juice and a nice cup of coffee and/or tea.

Savoury & warm

(at extra cost, please enquire about the options)

Choice of:

  • 5 delicious airy pancakes with banana, bacon, pecans, blueberries and maple syrup
  • 2 toastbread topped with sticky bacon, egg of your choice (poached, scrambled or fried), avocado and tomato
  • 2 toastbread topped with smoked salmon, egg of your choice (poached, scrambled or fried) avocado horseradish sauce.

 

And for the real sweet tooth:

  • Warm Brioche French toast served with butter, fresh fruit, maple syrup and icing sugar
  • Warm sugarbread French toast served with butter and red fruit compote
